I brought home some yellow tulips the other day, and couldn’t resist painting them.
One thing I’ve discovered about living in Michigan that is VERY different from Texas is the ferns. They are everywhere, especially when you live in a state forest like I do. Last spring, I took a picture of some iris in our garden; recently I finally got around to painting them. Here’s the picture:
I like to play with acrylics as well as oil paints. This is a painting of a bouquet that a friend gave me awhile back. It took two days to paint; I loved the bright colors, and put the flowers in a copper pot in my kitchen for contrast.
