Egrets Flying: acrylic painting

I decided to paint some white egrets flying over the marsh in northern Michigan, since these birds are beautiful and have begun showing up in a small town I was staying at in recent years. First, the painting, then the photos I took (I also used several others out of the dozens I took for reference). I also took some field notes of the colors to help jog my memory. I did use some artistic license to make a better painting.

  1. I remember, many years ago, seeing egrets in southern Florida and being told I was lucky to see them. Now they are roaming the beach where I live north of Liverpool – things have changed.
